Our client is looking for an experienced developer to support the automation and management of its packet capture and analytics environment for a low-latency trading infrastructure. This is a hands-on scripting/tooling role, not a network operations role the work involves building automation that gives full visibility into market data feeds, trading infrastructure, and network links.

Our client is looking for an experienced developer to support the automation and management of its packet capture and analytics environment for a low-latency trading infrastructure. This is a hands-on scripting/tooling role, not a network operations role the work involves building automation that gives full visibility into market data feeds, trading infrastructure, and network links.

Key Responsibilities
Modernize and maintain validation scripts to confirm the instrumentation infrastructure is correctly receiving and processing market data feeds
Build automated processes to collect and maintain metadata on client/venue links, trading sessions (protocol, IP, port), and market data feeds
Build automated processes to collect and maintain metadata on internal infrastructure (load balancers, firewalls, feed handlers, trading servers) and aggregation switch/tap links
Develop scripts to collect time-series data on drops and performance issues across the aggregation switch and packet capture environments
Auto-generate aggregation switch tagging/traffic-steering configs and packet capture device configs from collected metadata
Build an API/MCP integration layer to support chatbot-style querying of the instrumentation setup

Required Skills
Strong Python scripting/development skills this role writes automation and tooling, not just runs it
Hands-on experience with packet capture and network analytics platforms (e.g., Corvil); Corvil CNE or CMC certification strongly preferred
Solid understanding of low-latency trading network infrastructure: feed handlers, tap/aggregation switches, load balancers, firewalls
Experience with metadata automation and configuration generation for network/trading environments
Software engineering skills sufficient to design and build an API/MCP layer for chatbot integration
Comfortable working directly with stakeholders in a fast-paced trading environment
