Workday Extend Consultant

• Part-time hours
• 6-month contract
• 100% Remote

We are seeking an experienced Workday Extend Consultant to support, maintain, and enhance existing Workday Extend applications in a post-implementation environment. This role is ideal for a consultant with strong Workday Extend development expertise who can assess existing applications, optimize functionality, troubleshoot issues, and provide ongoing production support. The consultant will also facilitate knowledge transfer and recommend best practices to ensure long-term success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, document, and evaluate existing Workday Extend applications.
• Provide production support and troubleshoot issues within Workday Extend solutions.
• Enhance and optimize existing applications to improve functionality and user experience.
• Support knowledge transfer during post-implementation transition activities.
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams to resolve application issues.
• Advise on Workday Extend best practices, architecture, and design recommendations.
• Monitor application performance and recommend continuous improvements.
• Support ongoing maintenance and future enhancements as business needs evolve.

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Workday Extend applications.
• Strong understanding of Workday architecture, security, and integration framework.
• Experience with Workday Extend, Workday APIs, Workday Studio, EIBs, and Workday integrations.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective solutions.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting HR, onboarding, occupational health, or employee lifecycle processes.
• Experience providing post-go-live production support or Application Managed Services (AMS).
• Knowledge of Workday business processes and security framework.
• Previous healthcare industry experience is a plus.
