Senior Administrator - Financial Services

Are you an experienced Financial Services Administrator looking to take the next step in your career?

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing financial planning business for an experienced Senior Administrator to join their Operations team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical administration experience within an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) environment who enjoys delivering exceptional client service while supporting advisers and paraplanners.

The Role

As a Senior Administrator, you will play a key role in providing high-quality administrative and operational support across investments, pensions and client servicing. You'll work closely with Financial Advisers and Paraplanners, ensuring client work is completed accurately, efficiently and in line with regulatory requirements.

You will also act as a technical point of contact within the administration team, helping to improve processes and supporting colleagues where required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to Financial Advisers and Paraplanners.
  • Process new business applications, top-ups, fund switches and pension/investment transactions.
  • Manage Letters of Authority and liaise with providers to obtain client information.
  • Prepare client documentation, correspondence and meeting packs.
  • Coordinate annual client reviews and follow up on outstanding actions.
  • Maintain accurate client records and back-office systems.
  • Produce fee information and support finance-related administration.
  • Support ongoing process improvements and platform migration projects.
  • Assist with training and mentoring junior administrators where appropriate.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with FCA regulations and internal compliance procedures.

About You

You'll already have experience within a Financial Planning or IFA environment and be confident managing a varied workload with excellent attention to detail.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Senior Financial Services Administration role.
  • Strong knowledge of investments, pensions and new business processing.
  • Experience using Intelligent Office (Intelliflo) or similar back-office systems.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Confidence working with provider platforms and liaising with third parties.
  • A collaborative attitude and a commitment to delivering excellent client service.
