Job Description

Job Title: Engine Controls Cybersecurity Engineer
Location: Seymour, IN
I am looking for an Engine Controls Cybersecurity engineer. This role will focus on coordinating and executing cybersecurity controls activities within PSBU. The position will work closely with controls, software, validation, product engineering, service tools, and cybersecurity teams to ensure technical deliverables are completed and released on schedule.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Cross-functional technical coordination across multiple engineering teams
  • Tracking and driving closure of cybersecurity deliverables, risks, and action items
  • Supporting implementation of cybersecurity features in the ECM
  • Developing and executing bench validation plans
  • Troubleshooting and validating ECM software and calibration behavior
  • Supporting requirements management, traceability, and compliance activities
  • Supporting release readiness reviews and production implementation
  • Creating technical documentation, training material, and customer-facing communications
  • Coordinating issue resolution between software, controls, validation, and product team
Desired qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience with ECMs, controls validation, and system integration
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
  • Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines and organizations
  • Experience with requirements management and technical documentation
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with cybersecurity implementation for embedded systems
  • Experience with regulatory compliance activities (CRA, UNECE R155, ISO/SAE 21434, or similar)
  • Experience performing bench or hardware-in-the-loop testing
  • Experience supporting production launches or product transitions
