SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (QUANTICO, VA) with Security Clearance

Systems Administrator (Quantico, VA) Abacus Technology is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Administrator to join our team at Quantico, VA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with a focus on Windows and Linux system administration, network infrastructure, and security protocols.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and workstations
• Manage and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
• Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls
• Implement and enforce security policies and procedures
• Provide technical support to end users and resolve IT-related issues
• Collaborate with other IT team members on projects and initiatives
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration
• Experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
• Experience with Linux/Unix systems
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V)
• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
• Experience with database administration (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle)
• Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:

Active TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph required.
