Utility Yorkshire Water provides essential wastewater services to millions of customers and businesses across Yorkshire. From managing sewerage networks to treating wastewater, protecting the environment, and maintaining reservoirs and catchments.

Purpose of the role:
We're looking for a Jetting Assistant to join our team based in Bradford. This is a hands-on role working on a variety of reactive contracts, supporting the operation of specialist gully wagons and drainage equipment.
As a Jetting Assistant, you'll work closely with an experienced HGV Driver, travelling to sites across the country to carry out drainage and highway cleaning activities. This is a physically active role that requires a proactive approach and a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the job.
You'll also be responsible for updating job information electronically using a company tablet and ensuring all work is completed safely and efficiently.
About the role:
- Location: Bradford
- Role type: Permanent
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 47.5 hours per week
- Salary: £14 per hour dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a two-person team operating high-specification jetting and vacuumation units.
- Assist with highway gully cleaning and drainage maintenance activities.
- Carry out remote CCTV investigations to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewer systems.
- Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clear blockages and maintain drainage systems.
- Liaise professionally with customers and clients on site.
- Complete electronic job records and reports using company devices.
- Carry out daily vehicle and equipment safety checks.
- Report safety concerns and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Support the driver and team with all operational tasks as required.
Key Requirements:
Skills and experience:
- Full valid UK driving licence.
- Comfortable using electronic devices such as tablets or laptops for data entry and reporting.
Desirable:
- A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC)
- Previous experience within drainage, highways maintenance, utilities, construction, or a similar field.
