We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst II with strong healthcare payer experience to support business applications, processes, and technology initiatives. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, subject matter experts, developers, testers, and technical leads to identify process improvements, define requirements, support testing, and assist with application and process migrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct business and systems analysis to understand and document current and future-state business processes.
• Gather, analyze, document, and manage business and system requirements.
• Lead and participate in JAD sessions with business and technical stakeholders.
• Work in both Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Identify opportunities to improve business applications and processes and provide recommendations.
• Develop project documentation, including business requirements, risks/issues, mitigation strategies, change management, business readiness, communication plans, and procedures.
• Conduct meetings with SMEs, business partners, and other stakeholders and document decisions and action items.
• Act as a liaison between business units, technology teams, and support teams.
• Work with IT delivery leads, developers, testers, and operations teams to support project goals.
• Analyze technical designs and specifications and translate complex systems/processes into clear business requirements.
• Coordinate migration activities from current-state to future-state processes and applications.
• Support System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Document functionality and changes that may impact business stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Previous Business Analyst experience within a healthcare payer/health plan environment is required.
• 5+ years of experience leading JAD sessions using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
• 5+ years of systems analysis experience.
• Strong experience with requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation.
• Experience creating business requirements and project documentation.
• Experience working with business stakeholders, SMEs, IT teams, developers, testers, and technical leads.
• Experience supporting SIT and UAT.
• Experience with process improvement and application/process migration activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage complex business and technology requirements.

Preferred

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience supporting healthcare applications, processes, or technology initiatives.
• Experience with change management, business readiness, and stakeholder communication.
