Salesforce Functional Consultant

Role: Salesforce Functional Consultant
Hourly Rate: $120 + Super
Contract Length: 12-months
Location: Canberra/Fully Remote Available

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Functional Consultant to join a major government digital transformation environment on an initial 12-month contract.

You'll work closely with business stakeholders and technical delivery teams to understand business needs, improve processes and translate requirements into scalable Salesforce solutions.

This is a senior functional role requiring someone who can lead discovery, facilitate complex workshops and provide credible guidance around how Salesforce can best support business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops and functional requirements gathering
• Analyse and optimise current and future-state business processes
• Translate business requirements into Salesforce solution requirements
• Develop process maps, value streams and capability models
• Provide functional guidance around Salesforce capabilities and best practice
• Partner with developers, architects, delivery teams and vendors
• Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments and process reviews
• Support UAT, release planning, adoption and business readiness
• Build strong relationships across business and technology teams
• Help strengthen Business Analysis and Functional Consulting practices

About You

• Strong experience as a Salesforce Functional Consultant or Salesforce Business Analyst
• Proven ability to run discovery workshops and requirements-gathering sessions
• Strong experience with business process mapping and current/future-state analysis
• Able to translate business needs into practical, scalable Salesforce solutions
• Comfortable working with Salesforce Developers, Solution Architects and delivery teams
• Strong stakeholder management skills across both business and technology
• Experience supporting UAT, release planning, change and business readiness
• Government or other large, complex enterprise experience highly regarded
• Experience helping establish or mature a Business Analysis practice would be advantageous
