We seek an experienced Power Apps / Power Pages / Developer to review our UK Government client's existing BOU Secure Portal build, support live incidents, deliver enhancements, develop and maintain Power BI reporting solutions and upskill the internal development team. Expected outcomes are a stabilised and optimised BOU Secure Portal; reliable and maintainable Power BI reports and dashboards that support business and operational reporting needs; reduced dependency on external suppliers for incident resolution and reporting changes; improved automation alignment and system reliability; and an internal team that is trained and capable of providing ongoing support, reporting, and enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review the current Power Apps / Power Pages solution and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide L2/L3 support for production incidents and deliver fixes.
• Develop small enhancements and improvements across Power Apps, Power Pages, Dataverse, and Power Automate.
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards using data from Dataverse and other relevant data sources.
• Develop and optimise Power BI data models, measures, visualisations, and reporting outputs to support business requirements.
• Build, troubleshoot, and optimise Copilot Studio plugins and relevant integrations.
• Ensure all application, integration, and reporting changes are compatible with our current automation and testing framework.
• Upskill internal developers through coaching, code reviews, and knowledge transfer.

Essential Skills

Strong experience with Power Apps (Model-driven & Canvas) and Power Pages.

• Strong Power BI development experience, including report/dashboard creation, data modelling, and integration with Dataverse and other data sources
• Experience developing and maintaining Copilot Studio plugins, actions, and API integrations.
• Deep knowledge of Dataverse, security roles, entity permissions, authentication, and site configurations.
• Familiarity with Power Automate, custom connectors, and ALM practices.
• Understanding of Power BI security, including workspace management and RowLevel Security where applicable.
• Proficient in scripting and client-side customisation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for live system support.

Desirable Skills

• Experience transitioning vendor-built Power Platform solutions into internal ownership
• Experience delivering Power BI reporting as part of wider Power Platform solutions
• Understanding of automation requirements and testability for Power Platform solutions.
• Ability to train and mentor junior developers/testers.
• Experience supporting reporting requirements from initial business need through to production deployment.

This role will fall Inside IR35. Youwill be expected to work at least 3 days per week in the client's London, EC3 office and 2 days remotely - this is mandatory so please do not apply if you cannot attend 3 days per week.

The role requires UK Government (notBPSS or CTC) SC level security clearance so candidates must meet UK baseline requirements to be eligible for vetting (UK residence for 3 out of last 5 years etc). Preference will be given to candidates already SC security cleared.
