Hybrid 2-3x weekly in Duluth, GA

Our client seeks a Contract Software Project Manager to provide maternity leave coverage across active software and digital transformation initiatives. The manager will assume ownership of in-flight projects, ensure continuity of delivery, coordinate cross-functional teams, communicate with executives, manage risks and dependencies, and support Accelerated AI program workstreams. The engagement is six months with a high likelihood of extension, and the role requires rapid assimilation, disciplined execution, and clear stakeholder communication.

Rate: $60.00 to $70.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
  • Assume day-to-day project management responsibilities for active software initiatives in flight.
  • Execute a structured transition and knowledge transfer during onboarding.
  • Maintain plans, schedules, milestones, budgets, risks, dependencies, and action items.
  • Facilitate recurring project meetings and drive timely follow-ups on commitments.
  • Escalate risks, impediments, and resource constraints to leadership when required.
  • Provide concise executive-level status reporting and portfolio updates.
  • Coordinate release readiness, corrective actions, metrics, and improvement initiatives for Registration and Activation Transformation.
  • Facilitate long-term architecture discussions and drive alignment across software, operations, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination for R900 Gateway v6 across hardware, software, product, SQA, and vendors.
  • Manage testing schedules, field trial readiness, milestones, issue escalation, and dependencies including Tektelic integration.
  • Coordinate software release planning, prioritization, and issue resolution for Mach10v RSV.
  • Support leadership communications for release readiness and resource needs.
  • Serve as primary PM interface for Accelerated AI initiatives with internal stakeholders and consulting partners.
  • Coordinate schedules, deliverables, workshops, demos, and executive updates for AI workstreams.
  • Track scope, dependencies, action items, outcomes, and ensure alignment with business priorities.
  • Build effective relationships across Engineering, Product Management, SQA, Operations, and Executive Leadership.
  • Coordinate with third-party consulting partners and drive accountability through communication, facilitation, and resolution.
  • Meet critical success factors including smooth transition by October 2026, continuity of execution, consistent visibility, sustained AI momentum, and thorough closing documentation.

Experience Requirements:
  • 5+ years of software project management experience.
  • Proven delivery of complex software projects in Agile environments.
  • Leadership of cross-functional teams including engineering, QA, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated risk and issue management with clear executive communication.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, Azure DevOps, or comparable tools.
  • Ability to rapidly assess existing projects and lead with minimal ramp-up.
  • Strong meeting facilitation and stakeholder management.
  • Preferred: Experience with SaaS, cloud, IoT, telecommunications, utilities technology, or enterprise software.
  • Preferred: Experience working with external consulting organizations and vendors.
  • Preferred: Familiarity with AI/ML delivery or digital transformation initiatives.
  • Preferred: PMP, PMI-ACP, Scrum Master, or comparable certification.
