Our client seeks a Project Manager focused on early-stage project intake and development within a transmission-oriented environment. The role will coordinate with business partners, engineering, finance, and regional teams to clarify scope, gather requirements, develop preliminary estimates and labor plans, validate financial details, create JIRA records, and prepare projects for execution. The position requires strong organization, attention to detail, and clear stakeholder communication across multiple concurrent requests.

Rate: $45.00 to $48.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:

• Partner with business partners and internal customers to intake new work, clarify scope, and document requirements.
• Develop early project scope, assumptions, constraints, and financial planning inputs to progress work through intake and development.
• Coordinate preliminary estimates by gathering inputs, requesting estimates from engineers, reviewing responses, and resolving gaps.
• Prepare and maintain labor plans, contingencies, and financial planning details based on engineering feedback and project needs.
• Create JIRA Epics and Features and related records to route work to regional teams for execution readiness.
• Use P6 and other systems of record to verify accounting information, review upcoming work, and align planning with schedules and timelines.
• Attend frequent meetings with stakeholders and maintain clear communication across product owners, engineering, and regional teams.
• Track decisions, risks, dependencies, and action items, and drive timely follow-up.
• Maintain accurate documentation, financial inputs, status updates, and handoff information across tools and systems.
• Coordinate across telecom, transmission, generation, solar, facilities, and regional IT teams to ensure complete project information prior to delivery.

Experience Requirements:

• Experience in project management, coordination, estimating, planning, or project development within infrastructure, utility, telecom, construction, facilities, generation, transmission, solar, or renewable energy environments.
• Ability to gather business requirements, clarify scope, document assumptions, and coordinate work across multiple internal groups.
• Background supporting estimates, financial planning, budget inputs, labor and contingency planning, or related project controls.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple requests, meetings, follow-ups, and documentation concurrently.
• Clear written and verbal communication to summarize project details for stakeholders and leadership.
• Experience planning, facilitating, or documenting project meetings including decisions, risks, dependencies, and follow-ups.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing competing priorities with attention to detail.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to attend in-office staff meetings every Tuesday morning in St. Petersburg, FL.
• Ability to work in the office three days per week, with Tuesday and Wednesday required onsite days, in St. Petersburg, FL.
• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, JIRA, Primavera P6, Business Objects, or similar tools.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Transmission P6 schedules, accounting verification, project cost structures, estimates, forecasts, or funding processes.
• Preferred: Coordination experience with engineers, technical teams, product owners, business partners, regional teams, or field organizations.
• Preferred: Familiarity with telecom or infrastructure disciplines such as data networking, transport equipment, RF systems, DC power, fiber optics, construction, or facilities work.
