Job Description

HR Manager

Our client, based in Witham, is seeking an experienced HR Manager to join their team on a temporary basis for approximately 3-6 months. Both full-time and part-time applications will be considered, with working hours available during core office hours, Monday to Friday.

The salary is up to 55,000 (pro-rata if part-time). This is a fully office-based role with free on-site parking.

This position has a strong focus on complex Employee Relations (ER) casework, so applicants must have significant experience managing high-level ER matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex Employee Relations cases from start to finish, including misconduct, disciplinary, grievance, capability and long-term sickness cases
  • Provide expert HR advice and guidance to Directors, ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation and company policies
  • Identify ER trends and recommend proactive solutions to minimise legal and business risk
  • Prepare documentation and evidence for Employment Tribunal cases where required
  • Review, interpret, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure they remain compliant with current UK employment law and best practice
  • Support with general HR duties and work closely with the Director on day-to-day HR matters

Candidate Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing complex Employee Relations cases in a standalone or senior HR role
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law
  • Able to start immediately or at short notice
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
