Quick Overview
Job Description
Can you lead complex supply chain programmes and turn strategic plans into lasting operational improvements?
This is a key opportunity to lead a major supply chain transformation programme, including the move to one national wholesaler and investment in new automated packing technology.
You will take a leading role in shaping the future of supply chain operations across Frontline Group, working closely with senior leaders and specialist teams to deliver meaningful change, improve performance and support continued business growth.
As Head of Supply Chain Programme Management, you will lead strategic transformation programmes across warehousing, transport, inventory, procurement and distribution. You will establish strong governance, manage multiple workstreams, and ensure programmes are delivered against agreed objectives, budgets, and benefits.
You will identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve customer service, optimise costs, and build future supply chain capability across the organisation.
Reporting to the Group Supply Chain Director, you will work with executive leaders, operational teams and third-party partners to take complex cross-functional programmes from concept through to implementation and benefit realisation.
You will bring significant experience delivering large-scale supply chain, logistics or operational transformation programmes, ideally within a complex environment such as distribution, retail, wholesale, FMCG, manufacturing or parcel and carrier operations. Confident operating at senior stakeholder level, you will translate complex information into clear recommendations and bring the structure, clarity and momentum needed to deliver lasting change.
We offer an informal hybrid working model, with a minimum of 8 office days every 4 weeks.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead strategic supply chain transformation programmes across warehousing, transport, inventory, procurement and distribution.
- Develop clear programme plans, governance arrangements and reporting that support effective decision-making.
- Manage multiple workstreams, budgets, resources, milestones, and benefit tracking against agreed objectives.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve service levels, and increase operational efficiency.
- Lead network reviews, operating model redesign and initiatives to simplify processes and increase automation.
- Drive operational improvements across distribution, transport, inventory, productivity, supplier performance, sustainability, and resilience.
- Build strong relationships across Operations, Commercial, Finance and Technology, as well as with external partners.
- Develop data-led business cases, including return on investment, payback and risk assessments.
- Proactively manage risks, dependencies, issues and change impacts, providing clear updates to senior stakeholders.
What we're looking for:
- Experience delivering large-scale supply chain or logistics transformation programmes.
- Confidence leading complex change initiatives with multiple workstreams, budgets and benefits.
- Familiarity with operational environments such as distribution, logistics, retail, wholesale, FMCG, manufacturing, parcel or carrier operations.
- Experience building and presenting business cases using operational and financial information.
- The ability to lead cross-functional programme teams and work effectively with executive stakeholders.
- Strong programme, change, risk and dependency management skills.
- The ability to analyse complex information, solve problems and communicate clear recommendations.
- A strategic mindset, commercial awareness and a practical approach to delivery.
- Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills.
Even if you don’t meet every requirement, we’d still love to hear from you. If you’re excited about the role and believe you could be a great fit, we encourage you to apply.
Please note Frontline Group is unable to provide sponsorship for this role.
