Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Engineer to support enterprise-scale data migration and modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will be responsible for validating migrated workflows, ensuring data quality, performing functional and integration testing, and supporting end-to-end quality assurance activities for Informatica migration projects. This role requires strong expertise in test strategy, automation, data validation, and reconciliation across legacy and target platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for Informatica migration and modernization projects.
• Validate migrated workflows, data pipelines, and orchestration processes on the target platform.
• Create and execute test cases, test scripts, and test plans covering functional, integration, system, and regression testing.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality assurance between source and target platforms.
• Support parallel runs between Informatica and target systems to ensure data consistency and functional equivalence.
• Identify, document, track, and resolve defects through collaboration with development and data engineering teams.
• Conduct end-to-end integration testing across upstream and downstream applications.
• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and reusable testing assets.
• Validate workflow scheduling, dependency management, parameterization, and deployment processes.
• Create detailed testing reports, defect summaries, and sign-off documentation.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and release validation activities.

Required Skills

• 6–10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, Data Testing, or ETL Testing.
• Strong experience in ETL Testing and Data Validation.
• Hands-on experience testing Informatica PowerCenter or Informatica Cloud implementations.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, reconciliation, and validation.
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, or Apache Spark.
• Experience in functional, integration, system, regression, and user acceptance testing.
• Knowledge of test automation tools such as Selenium, PyTest, Robot Framework, or similar.
• Experience using defect management and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, ALM, or TestRail.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release validation processes.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
