Position Summary
The Teamcenter Development Lead will lead the technical delivery team responsible for Teamcenter configuration, customization, integrations, defect resolution, and release execution. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with development planning, code quality, team leadership, and close coordination with architecture, functional, testing, migration, and support teams.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the Teamcenter development team and translate approved solution designs into detailed technical designs, estimates, sprint plans, and executable work packages.
· Own development delivery across BMIDE, ITK, SOA/REST services, Active Workspace extensions, workflows, preferences, access controls, queries, and integrations.
· Review functional requirements and architecture designs for feasibility, completeness, technical dependencies, and implementation risk.
· Establish coding standards, branching strategy, review practices, build procedures, deployment packaging, and technical documentation expectations.
· Perform hands-on design and development for complex features, reusable frameworks, integrations, data utilities, and critical defect fixes.
· Lead Active Workspace declarative and custom development, including commands, panels, tables, search, rendering, and role-based experiences.
· Coordinate CAD integration development and configuration for Creo, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Dispatcher, visualization, and file-processing scenarios.
· Support integration development with SAP, Polarion, migration tools, and enterprise services using approved interface patterns.
· Ensure unit testing, peer review, static analysis, traceability, and technical evidence are completed before promotion to higher environments.
· Partner with QA and functional teams on defect triage, root-cause analysis, test-data preparation, dry runs, and release acceptance.
· Coordinate environment deployments, smoke testing, rollback planning, and release notes with platform and support teams.
· Track development velocity, quality, defects, blockers, technical debt, and risks; provide clear status and recovery plans.
· Mentor developers, assign work based on capability, address skill gaps, and ensure strong collaboration across onsite and offshore teams.
Required Technical and Functional Competencies
· Siemens Teamcenter, preferably recent enterprise releases, and Active Workspace
· BMIDE, Teamcenter data model, preferences, organization, access controls, workflows, queries, and classification
· Teamcenter Integration Toolkit (ITK), SOA/REST services, and enterprise integration patterns
· Teamcenter Dispatcher, visualization/JT concepts, and CAD integration frameworks
· Java, C/C++, XML, XSLT, JSON, SQL, and scripting as applicable to the role
· Source control, code review, CI/CD, release management, and Azure DevOps or equivalent tooling
· Agile/Scrum delivery with strong documentation, traceability, and defect-management discipline
Required Experience and Qualifications
· 10+ years of PLM/Teamcenter experience, including 3+ years leading Teamcenter development teams.
· Strong hands-on expertise in BMIDE, ITK, SOA/REST, Active Workspace customization, workflows, preferences, and access controls.
· Proficiency in C/C++, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, XML/XSLT, SQL, and scripting relevant to Teamcenter delivery.
· Experience with Teamcenter build, deployment, patching, environment promotion, and configuration management.
· Experience integrating Teamcenter with CAD, ERP, ALM, middleware, or enterprise services.
· Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex defects using logs, traces, code analysis, database queries, and reproducible test cases.
· Strong estimation, sprint planning, code-review, and team-management skills.
· Bachelor''s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
· Strong written and verbal English communication skills suitable for customer-facing workshops, reviews, demonstrations, and executive status discussions.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with Creo, SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, Dispatcher, and Teamcenter Visualization.
· Experience implementing Teamcenter-SAP integrations and migration utilities.
· Experience in regulated product development or validated enterprise environments.
· Experience with DevOps, automated builds, deployment pipelines, and release dashboards.

· Strong customer-facing communication and the ability to explain complex PLM topics in business language
· Collaborative leadership across architects, developers, functional consultants, migration, integration, testing, and support teams
· Ability to operate effectively in a high-visibility global program with multiple stakeholders and changing priorities
· Structured problem solving, ownership, transparency, and timely escalation of risks and dependencies
· Demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver clear solution walkthroughs, internal rehearsals, and customer demonstrations
