What You''ll Bring to the Table:

• Proficiency with IBM Mainframe technologies: JCL, COBOL, SQL, DB2, Endevor, File-AID, CA-7
• Familiarity with tools like INSYNC, Jira, Confluence, Service Now
• Knowledge of AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and VSCode, and awareness of AI integration in development
• Designer skills: Ability to independently analyze IMS segments, develop detailed designs, lead junior developers, and participate in end-to-end field mapping, coding, testing, and deployment
• Strong understanding of DB2 objects and processing, with the capability to analyze DB2 components independently
• Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a proactive learning mindset to thrive in a pod with limited mainframe experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, and SQL technologies
• Analyze IMS segments and create detailed technical designs for complex solutions
• Lead junior developers within project teams, providing guidance and mentorship
• Participate in end-to-end field mapping activities, ensuring seamless data integration
• Develop, test, and deploy code while ensuring adherence to best practices and standards
• Maintain and troubleshoot existing mainframe applications, resolving issues efficiently
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhancements
• Utilize tools like INSYNC, Jira, Confluence, and Service Now for project tracking and documentation
• Stay informed about emerging AI tools and incorporate them into development workflows where appropriate
• Analyze DB2 objects for optimization and independently process database-related tasks

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with Kafka and RESTful APIs (non-mandatory but advantageous)

Preferred Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Prior experience working in mainframe development environments, ideally 3+ years
