The People & Culture team plays a key role in shaping Kingston's workforce, culture and employee experience. Our Organisational Development team partners across Council to deliver initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, employee engagement, learning and development, inclusion, wellbeing and organisational performance.

About this opportunity

We are looking for a Team Leader Organisational Development to join our team. Reporting to the Manager People & Culture, you will provide strategic leadership and expert advice to drive organisational development initiatives that support a high performing, inclusive and values driven workplace.

Leading a specialist team, you will work closely with Executives, Managers and Team Leaders to develop and deliver contemporary programs that build workforce capability, strengthen organisational culture and enhance the employee experience across Council.

What you'll deliver

• Lead the development and implementation of organisational development strategies, programs and frameworks aligned to Council's strategic objectives.
• Drive learning and development, leadership capability and talent management initiatives that support workforce performance and succession planning.
• Lead employee engagement, organisational culture and workforce inclusion programs, including delivery of key actions arising from employee feedback and culture measurement activities.
• Oversee wellbeing, diversity and gender equality initiatives that foster a safe, inclusive and high-performing workplace.
• Provide leadership, coaching and development to the Organisational Development team while building strong relationships with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
• Use workforce data, insights and contemporary practice to drive continuous improvement and support evidence-based decision making.

What You'll Bring

• Demonstrated experience leading organisational development, learning and development, culture and capability initiatives within a complex organisation.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and drive organisational change.
• Experience developing and implementing strategies relating to culture, leadership, engagement, inclusion, wellbeing and workforce capability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate workforce insights into practical organisational outcomes.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology, Business or a related discipline, or extensive equivalent experience in organisational development.
