About the Role

Midwestern IT Inc. is looking for motivated candidates interested in building a career as a System Business Analyst. Candidates should have an interest in business processes, system analysis, requirement gathering, and communication between business and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business and technical requirements.

• Communicate with stakeholders to understand business needs.

• Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, and use cases.

• Analyze existing systems and recommend process improvements.

• Create process flow diagrams and system workflows.

• Work with development and QA teams to clarify requirements.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and daily stand-up meetings.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and document test scenarios.

• Track requirements, tasks, and defects using JIRA and Confluence.

• Prepare reports and maintain project documentation.

Required Skills

• Requirements gathering and documentation.

• Business process modeling and workflow analysis.

• Understanding of SDLC and Agile/Scrum methodology.

• Knowledge of SQL and database concepts is an advantage.

• Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence, Excel, Visio, or similar tools.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, Finance, or a related field.

• Previous experience in Business Analysis, System Analysis, QA, or a related role is beneficial.

• Knowledge of APIs, system integrations, and data mapping is a plus.
