This is an immediate opening for a critical role focused on the efficient and safe movement of goods. The Role • Operate heavy machinery to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks. • Drive specialized yard trucks (hostlers) to position containers and chassis within the intermodal yard. • Utilize equipment like top loaders, side loaders, and cranes for efficient container stacking and relocation. • Conduct pre- and post-operation equipment checks to ensure safety and functionality. • Coordinate with yard personnel and supervisors to manage daily logistics tasks effectively. • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all established protocols and procedures. What You'll Need • A valid driver's license is mandatory for this position. • Previous experience operating heavy equipment in a logistics or industrial setting is preferred. • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50lbs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to workplace safety. • Willingness to work a night shift schedule, including weekends and holidays, with open availability. • Basic communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
