Job Overview:

• This position is responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. Working under close supervision, the candidate may perform a combination of assembly, repair, and test operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related medical device assemblies.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate is responsible for producing high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell. • The candidate performs routine assignments according to specified or standardized procedures. Work is closely and continually reviewed. The candidate will ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date.
• The successful candidate will communicate ideas, problems, and solutions clearly to all levels of manufacturing management, both written and orally. The candidate must maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, such as during tours.
• The candidate will follow safety guidelines and use appropriate safety devices when performing all operations. The candidate will participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes and achieve quality and profitability metrics.
• The candidate will maintain accurate records to ensure traveler and quality documents are correct, all parts are traceable, and quality issues can be addressed to guarantee the quality of all products. The candidate demonstrates a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
• The successful candidate will participate with the Manufacturing Supervisor/Manager in setting and monitoring individual goals and cell performance metrics that continuously seek to improve operations quality. The candidate will support all Divisional initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• The candidate must have the ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures and understand and follow verbal instructions. The candidate should have an understanding of and the ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
• The candidate must be able to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance. The candidate must be able to handle and maneuver small components and parts. The successful candidate will make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.
• High school degree or equivalent required.
