Healthcare ETL Business Analyst (Remote)

job summary:

Join our Health & Life Sciences practice to spearhead critical data integration and governance initiatives. You will work alongside enterprise data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to translate complex healthcare requirements into robust, high-performance data pipelines. This role is essential to delivering clean, traceable, and compliant data solutions for industry-leading healthcare payer platforms.

responsibilities:

• Lead healthcare data discovery, source-to-target mapping, and data integration initiatives across enterprise data systems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive transformation specifications, business rule definitions, and end-to-end data lineage documentation.
• Execute advanced SQL queries to analyze large datasets, profile raw data sources, and support quality assurance and data modeling.
• Facilitate joint requirements sessions with cross-functional technical teams, business analysts, and analytics consumers.
• Ensure all data solutions adhere to strict healthcare compliance, traceability, and governance standards.

qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor of Engineering Degree.

8+ years of dedicated data analysis experience within the Healthcare Payer domain (claims, eligibility, provider data, and clinical integration).

6+ years of advanced hands-on SQL experience for complex data querying, validation, and profiling.

Proven background authoring comprehensive Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM) documents and transformation logic for enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines.

Demonstrated ability to bridge communication between business leaders and technical engineering squads.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Prior experience with Databricks or modern cloud data warehouse architectures (AWS, Azure, Snowflake).

Familiarity with healthcare EDI standards (e.g., 837, 835, 834) and industry coding systems.

Experience with data governance, lineage tracking tools, and dimensional data modeling concepts.
