Job Description

Role: Quality Engineer (Automation)

Location: Remote (Inperson interview in NY, Dallas, TX and San Francisco, CA)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify weaknesses, defects, and problem areas within software applications.
  • Collaborate closely with Development, Operations, Support, Business Partners, and other stakeholders to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Work independently with minimal guidance while taking ownership of assigned testing activities.
  • Identify business and technical use cases, create and prioritize test cases, execute tests, and prepare test reports for stakeholders.
  • Track software defects, investigate root causes, and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and automation frameworks.
  • Troubleshoot automation failures and resolve issues within the test automation environment.
  • Create test plans, test cases, and test summary reports.
  • Perform functional, regression, exploratory, and end-to-end testing.
  • Create and maintain test data required for automated testing.
  • Analyze automation results and reports using Extent Reports and Cucumber.
  • Understand application internals, debug issues, and automate repetitive testing activities.
  • Submit Pull Requests and follow established Git-based development practices.
  • Trigger and monitor automated test suites as required.
  • Collaborate with CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and quality assurance.

Required Skills:

  • Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and Java.
  • Hands-on experience with Cucumber/BDD frameworks.
  • Experience developing automation frameworks and integrating backend testing with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with Sauce Labs for cross-browser and automated testing.
  • Working knowledge of Flyway for database migration/version management.
  • Experience with Bitbucket and GitLab for source control and collaboration.
  • Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD automation.
  • Strong knowledge of Maven for build and dependency management.
  • Experience with functional, regression, exploratory, API, and end-to-end testing.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
