Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Group Director, People & Organization (P&O) Advisory to lead a team of Human Resources Generalists and Employee Relations Specialists in delivering exceptional HR support across the organization.
This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an HR professional who excels at balancing people, process, and business impact. In this role, you will shape how HR supports employees, managers, and leaders across the organization—strengthening processes, improving the employee experience, and creating scalable solutions that enable business growth.
You will lead HR Generalists who provide guidance throughout the employee lifecycle and Employee Relations Specialists who manage investigations and complex employee matters. You will also serve as a senior escalation point for sensitive and high-risk issues, partnering closely with HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, Legal, and business leadership.
This is an opportunity to lead a talented team, influence the broader HR operating model, elevate the employee experience, and build solutions that directly support business growth and operational excellence - all within a collaborative, people-first culture that values its employees and their contributions.
In addition to meaningful work and the opportunity to make a lasting impact, the role offers bonus eligibility, outstanding employee benefits and competitive perks, a hybrid 3-day in-office / 2-day remote schedule, and relocation assistance for qualified candidates.

- Establish and evolve HR frameworks, standards, and processes that promote consistency, quality, and an exceptional employee and manager experience.
- Develop and refine triage and escalation protocols based on business needs, case complexity, and risk.
- Oversee the effective management of complex employee relations matters, investigations, leadership escalations, and high-risk cases.
- Ensure HR Generalists provide proactive, practical, and value-added guidance throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Identify trends and themes emerging from HR and ER cases and translate those insights into actionable recommendations for HRBPs, COEs, and business leaders.
- Use data, metrics, and stakeholder feedback to evaluate effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
- Identify opportunities to leverage technology, automation, and process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance the employee and manager experience.
- Develop common tools, resources, templates, and best practices that enable HR teams to work more effectively.
- Allocate HR Generalist and ER resources based on business priorities, case complexity, and organizational needs.
- Lead knowledge sharing and upskilling across the broader HR organization, including Retail HR teams.
- Partner closely with HRBPs, COEs, Legal, and business leaders to ensure alignment and effective resolution of complex people matters.
