What we are looking for:
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused IT Support Deployment Officer to join our Information Technology team. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for someone passionate about technology and delivering excellent customer service. In this role, you will help support Council staff by deploying and maintaining IT equipment, managing user accounts, maintaining asset records and assisting with technology rollouts across Council locations. You will work in a collaborative environment while gaining valuable experience across a broad range of IT systems and services.
What your day will look like:
- Order, image and deploy laptops, mobile phones, tablets and other end-user devices.
- Manage user accounts and permissions across Council systems.
- Install, configure and deploy software to support business operations.
- Assist with annual computer replacement and device deployment programs.
- Maintain accurate IT asset registers and lifecycle management records.
- Provide basic IT support and technology guidance to Council employees

What you'll need for success:
- Current Queensland Class C or CA Driver Licence.
- Demonstrated ability to install, configure and deploy computer hardware, peripherals and software.
- Ability to perform manual tasks and transport IT equipment safely.
- Sound computer skills and confidence using technology systems.
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute positively within a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate record keeping
What's nice to have:
- Experience supporting information technology services in a helpdesk or customer support environment.
- Exposure to Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange or Azure environments.
- Experience working with IT asset management processes.
- Relevant IT studies, certifications or currently undertaking technology-related training
