Sr. Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.). This role is hybrid Remote in Chandler, AZ. We are working directly with the hiring manager on this search assignment. Company offers a comprehensive compensation package including base salary, Annual bonus, etc.

Summary

We are partnering with a growing engineering consulting firm seeking a Senior Electrical Control Systems Engineer (P.E.) to lead Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls (EI&C) projects supporting municipal and industrial facilities. This role will serve as a technical leader responsible for design, power system studies, automation systems, and project execution from concept through commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical, instrumentation, and controls system design projects.
• Electrical and Electronic Power Distribution design responsibilities in AutoCAD Electrical
• Perform power system studies including short circuit, coordination, arc flash, load flow, and motor starting analyses
• Develop and review P&IDs, control narratives, wiring diagrams, I/O lists, and related design documentation
• Design PLC, HMI, and SCADA network architectures
• Serve as Engineer of Record and provide sealed Arizona design deliverables
• Conduct QA/QC reviews and mentor junior engineers
• Support construction, startup, commissioning, RFIs, and submittal reviews

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or similar degree.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred.
• Arizona PE registration or ability to obtain through comity would be ideal
• 5+ years of electrical design and/or controls engineering experience
• Strong NEC knowledge and AutoCAD Electrical proficiency
• Experience with PLC and HMI/SCADA systems is preferred.
• Proven ability to lead projects through design and construction

Preferred:

• Experience with SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower
• Revit, Navisworks, and Bluebeam experience
• PLC/HMI programming experience
• Power Distribution design experience
• Municipal, water/wastewater, mining, industrial, utility, infrastructure, or data center project experience
• Consulting engineering background

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
