Job Title: Ab Initio & Oracle PL/SQL Test Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Test Engineer / QA Tester with strong experience in testing Ab Initio and Oracle PL/SQL applications. The candidate will be responsible for performing end-to-end testing, data validation, and ensuring the quality and reliability of ETL and database applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing of Ab Initio ETL and Oracle PL/SQL applications.
• Develop and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
• Perform SQL-based data validation, reconciliation, and backend testing.
• Validate ETL workflows, data transformations, mappings, and data loads.
• Identify, document, track, and validate defects through resolution.
• Analyze application requirements and prepare appropriate test scenarios.
• Perform regression testing for application enhancements and releases.
• Work closely with developers, business analysts, and other QA team members to resolve issues.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity across source and target systems.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in QA/Testing of data-intensive applications.
• Hands-on experience testing Ab Initio applications/workflows.
• Strong experience with Oracle PL/SQL and SQL.
• Experience in ETL testing and database/backend testing.
• Strong understanding of data validation and reconciliation.
• Experience with functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
• Good defect tracking and test documentation experience.

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience with Automation Testing.
• Knowledge of automation frameworks and scripting.
• Experience automating database/ETL test scenarios.
• Exposure to CI/CD tools and Agile methodologies.

Ideal Profile

Candidates with a QA/Test Engineer background combined with strong Ab Initio and Oracle PL/SQL testing experience are preferred. Candidates who also have Automation Testing experience will be an added advantage.
