Job Title : EMIT BA/QA Analyst

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced EMIT Business Analyst/QA Analyst to support EyeMed IT's migration of applications and sites from LDAP to Active Directory (AD).
The successful candidate will work across both Business Analysis and Quality Assurance functions, including requirements gathering, security role definition, test planning and execution, test automation, deployment validation, and post-production support.
This role will follow established SDLC processes and collaborate with business, technical, and QA teams to ensure successful delivery of application migration initiatives.
Project Overview
The project focuses on migrating Call Center, Retail, and Security applications from LDAP to Active Directory.
The BA/QA Analyst will help define requirements, validate security roles, develop and execute test scenarios, support deployment activities, and ensure applications function correctly following migration.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements.
  • Define and document security role requirements for applications migrating to Active Directory.
  • Participate in the software testing lifecycle, including test planning, test design, execution, defect management, and validation.
  • Develop and execute test cases using appropriate black-box and grey-box testing techniques.
  • Perform both manual and automated testing across:User interfaces Backend processes and batch jobs Data conversion and ETL processes
  • Create, execute, and interpret SQL queries for data validation, development support, and research.
  • Manage test data across multiple test environments.
  • Validate application deployments and migration results.
  • Identify, document, track, and help resolve defects and issues.
  • Provide post-production support and assist with troubleshooting following deployments.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, QA teams, Security teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Track project and testing activities using tools such as Jira.
  • Prepare clear technical documentation, test results, requirements documentation, and status updates.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Participate in meetings, presentations, and cross-functional collaboration as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in a comparable Business Analyst and/or QA Analyst role.
  • Strong experience in Business Analysis and Quality Assurance.
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
  • Experience with test architecture and test design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with black-box and grey-box testing.
  • Experience with manual and automated testing of:UI applications Backend/batch processes Data conversion and ETL processes
  • Strong SQL/database experience, including the ability to create, execute, and interpret SQL queries.
  • Experience working across multiple test environments and managing test data.
  • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage competing project requirements.
  • Excellent written, verbal, listening, presentation, and documentation skills.
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, fast-paced, and collaborative environment.
  • Experience with Jira or similar project/test tracking systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Candidates with experience in any of the following areas are preferred:
  • Experience implementing Active Directory (AD) or AD B2C projects.
  • Experience writing requirements and testing applications with defined security roles.
  • Experience with test automation and performance testing tools.
  • Experience using AI tools to assist with requirements development and test-case creation.
  • Knowledge of or experience within the healthcare or managed vision care industry.
  • Experience with Facets or similar healthcare applications.
  • Experience with security testing.
  • Experience supporting application migrations, identity/access management, or authentication-related initiatives.
