Job Description

The Project Manager will lead a variety of initiatives including technology implementations, organizational initiatives, procurement efforts, and RFP-driven projects in both Agile and traditional project delivery environments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale, complex IT projects, preferably within government or public sector organizations.

Key Responsibilities

Manage project schedules, resources, budgets, risks, scope, and quality.
Prepare and present project status updates to executives, management, and project teams.
Drive stakeholder engagement and communication across all levels of the organization.
Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with multiple vendors and third-party providers.
Ensure compliance with project governance methodologies and change management processes.
Manage vendor deliverables, contracts, and project dependencies.
Facilitate collaboration between business and technical teams to achieve project objectives.
Oversee projects involving COTS products, SaaS solutions, and system integrations.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of Project Management experience.
8+ years managing IT projects in large enterprise environments.
8+ years managing projects with budgets exceeding $20 million.
8+ years of vendor and third-party management experience.
Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
Experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
Experience working in multi-vendor environments.
Experience managing COTS implementation projects.
Experience overseeing technical teams, architecture discussions, and SaaS integrations.

Preferred Qualifications

PMP Certification or equivalent project management certification.
Experience with Project Portfolio Management tools such as Clarity.
Previous experience with state government or public sector organizations.
Candidates located within one hour of Lansing, MI are highly preferred.
