Job Description

Liberty Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation in the search for an experienced Risk & Compliance Manager to join their team.

Based in Chichester, paying up to £58,000 alongside a whole host of excellent benefits. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Risk & Compliance professional to take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of risk management, compliance, assurance and audit activity within a growing business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain risk registers, compliance records and action logs, ensuring risks are effectively monitored and escalated
  • Oversee the delivery of internal and external audits, certification reviews and wider assurance activity
  • Maintain and develop compliance frameworks, policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards
  • Support compliance with relevant ISO standards, including ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • Coordinate digital identity compliance activity, including relevant certification and assurance requirements
  • Monitor information security compliance, including policy reviews, access controls and supporting documentation
  • Support data protection and privacy compliance, including GDPR requirements, risk assessments and incident records
  • Prepare management reports, risk indicators and compliance updates for senior stakeholders
  • Oversee corrective actions, ensuring issues are investigated and resolved within agreed timescales
  • Coordinate business continuity planning, testing and associated improvement activity
  • Manage supplier assurance and third-party due diligence processes
  • Ensure compliance policies and training are effectively communicated and embedded across the business
  • Support the delivery of compliance inductions and ongoing awareness initiatives
  • Line manage and develop a team member, providing guidance, support and clear priorities
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to promote a positive risk and compliance culture
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and ways of working

About you

  • Previous experience within a Risk, Compliance, Governance or Assurance management role
  • Strong knowledge of risk management processes, compliance frameworks and regulatory requirements
  • Experience managing internal and external audits, certification processes and assurance activity
  • Good working knowledge of ISO 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001
  • Experience maintaining risk registers, compliance documentation and corrective action plans
  • Experience leading or supervising others, with the ability to manage priorities and support team development
  • Confident challenging non-compliance and influencing improvements across the business

It would be advantageous if you have:

  • ISO Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor qualification
  • Relevant Risk, Governance or Compliance qualification, such as IRM, ICA, IIA or ISACA
