Introduction
The ERP Functional Team Lead – HR/Payroll leads a team of functional specialists supporting JD Edwards and related ERP technologies across Human Resources and Payroll domains. This role combines hands-on functional expertise with leadership responsibility to ensure stable operations, effective delivery, and continuous improvement of business processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of functional specialists supporting HR and Payroll systems.
- Establish clear roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations aligned to organizational goals.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to team members.
- Oversee prioritization and assignment of support, enhancements, and project work.
- Balance production support and project delivery to maintain service levels and commitments.
- Act as escalation point for complex issues and coordinate cross-functional resolution.
- Lead root cause analysis and ensure sustainable issue resolution.
- Ensure adherence to governance, change control, and compliance requirements.
- Support audit activities and enforce segregation of duties and control standards.
- Build relationships with business stakeholders and manage vendor performance.
- Provide oversight of functional deliverables and maintain accountability for outcomes.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years ERP experience with HR/Payroll focus.
- Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
- Experience leading teams or acting as a senior functional lead.
Required Qualifications
- Strong functional knowledge of HR and Payroll processes.
- ERP configuration, support, and implementation experience.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP integrations.
- Knowledge of audit and compliance frameworks.
- Experience with reporting or automation tools.
