Job Title: QA Test Automation Engineer
Location: Berkley Heights, NJ (Onsite)

Must have skills: Postman, REST APIs, JavaScript/Python, CI/CD

Key Responsibilities: Design and automate robust API tests using Postman, scripting libraries, validating high-throughput transactional endpoints, ledger events, and external partner webhooks.
Collaboration & Growth: Partner closely with backend developers, implementation teams, and release managers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD deployment pipelines and maintain continuous regression coverage.
Technical Requirements : 4–6 years of automated QA experience with deep, hands-on expertise in Postman (collections, environment variables, pre-request scripts, JavaScript assertions), RESTful API protocols, and JSON/XML validation
Bonus Skills: Familiarity with Newman CLI integration in Jenkins/GitHub Actions, basic Python or JavaScript automation frameworks, SQL verification, and exposure to fintech or blockchain ledger systems.

. Qualifications & Profile
●Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience with 3–5 years of professional backend development.
●Core Language: Demonstrated proficiency in Python 3.x and experience with backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Django REST framework, or Flask.
●Databases & ORMs: Familiarity with SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and database modeling using SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
●Tools & Workflow: Comfortable with Git branching workflows, pull requests, automated testing (pytest/unittest), and Linux/Unix command-line environments.
●Mindset: Strong problem-solving curiosity, proactive communication, and eagerness to learn institutional fintech, smart contracts, and digital asset rails.

Detailed Responsibilities
Develop, structure, and maintain modular Postman test collections with advanced JavaScript assertions for response schema, status codes, latency, and business logic.
Automate collection execution via Newman CLI inside CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) for seamless regression testing.
Validate API endpoints, payload variations, edge cases, authentication workflows (OAuth2, bearer tokens, API keys, mTLS), and asynchronous webhook events.
Perform backend data reconciliation by executing SQL queries to verify database state transitions following API transaction execution.
Log, prioritize, and track defects in Jira, providing clear reproduction steps, network request/response logs, and environment configurations.
Collaborate with development and implementation teams to review API specifications (Swagger/OpenAPI) and define acceptance criteria before feature development begins.
