Job Title: Senior QA Engineer

Experience: 8–12+ Years
Employment Type: Contract (W2)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Engineer with strong expertise in software testing, test automation, manual testing, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in designing test strategies, developing automation frameworks, identifying defects, and ensuring high-quality software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.

  • Perform manual and automated testing for web, mobile, and enterprise applications.

  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

  • Perform API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI.

  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, system, and performance testing.

  • Identify, document, track, and troubleshoot software defects.

  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product teams.

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning.

  • Integrate automated test scripts into CI/CD pipelines.

  • Ensure application quality, reliability, performance, and security.

Required Technical Skills

  • Automation Tools: Selenium, Cypress, Playwright.

  • Programming Languages: Java, Python, JavaScript.

  • Testing: Manual Testing, Automation Testing, Regression Testing, Functional Testing.

  • API Testing: Postman, REST Assured, SoapUI.

  • Performance Testing: JMeter, LoadRunner.

  • Test Management: Jira, Zephyr, TestRail, HP ALM.

  • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps.

  • Database Testing: SQL, Oracle, SQL Server.

  • Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, SDLC, STLC.

Required Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Testing.

  • Strong experience in both manual and automation testing.

  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.

  • Good understanding of API testing, database testing, and defect management.

  • Experience working in Agile development environments.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with cloud-based application testing (AWS/Azure).

  • Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber.

  • Experience with mobile automation using Appium.

  • Knowledge of DevOps and continuous testing practices.
