Northern Ohio Recovery Association (NORA) Overview: NORA is a non-profit in Northeast Ohio dedicated to empowering individuals, families and communities to support lifestyles of recovery. We aim to establish innovative care to support continued recovery of the communities we serve every single day. The
Finance Director is instrumental in strategizing, managing, and leading processes and workflows across the organization.

Works closely with the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Leadership Team to successfully operate and deliver services and attain high-quality outcomes consistent with organizational standards. Efforts of this role are focused on ensuring efficient operations, sustainability, regulatory compliance, standards of credentialing, and administrative management. The
Finance Director will play an integral role in the acquisition, due diligence, on-boarding, credentialing, compliance, and regulatory requirements. Position will serve as a single point of contact for all organizational operations.

Operations Management

Provides operational oversight and management of human resources, marketing, grant administration, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. Implements strategies to increase revenue/decrease costs and cost-effectively manage personnel, supply, and equipment resources. Responsible for collecting, evaluating, and presenting operational data and performance analytics to executive leadership.

Quality and Service

Ensures contractual, regulatory, and compliance. Initiates, implements, and monitors evidence-based practices to foster continuous quality improvement. Conducts, communicates, and documents regularly recurring meetings regarding operations policy and procedure. Develops, plans, and implements Northern Ohio Recovery Association’s financial strategies in collaboration with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)to manage growth and ensure organizational sustainability.

Regularly reviews and recommends changes in operations to meet patient needs with particular emphasis on services for under served populations.

Identifies new opportunities and builds the organization by consistently developing and improving services
Experience and Training
~ A minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible work experience managing the accounting functions in a non-profit agency, or equivalent experience
~ Thorough knowledge of budgeting and accounting practices, processes, and procedures of non-profit organizations.
~Significant knowledge of standards, regulations, and policies in mental health care, social work, addictions, and related domains.
~ Previous work in a mental health care facility or clinical setting (preferred).
~ Strong knowledge of addictions, mental health, and related supportive needs in the areas of data, analytics, and business management.
~ Strong ability to articulate operational and analytical data.

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related discipline required.
