This employer is seeking a skilled Schlosser / Metallbauer als Monteur to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis. You will play a vital role in constructing and modernizing medium, high, and extra-high voltage substations (up to 380kV) across southwestern Germany, contributing to the energy transition and climate protection goals.

The Role

• Assemble steel structures for 110kV to 380kV switchgear, including air-insulated and gas-insulated systems.
• Install high and medium voltage equipment and electrical systems, including brackets, suspension, and support insulators.
• Execute the assembly and disassembly of bolted and pressed connections, as well as pipe and cable installations, including cable pulling.
• Review and mark up plan documents.

What You'll Need

• Completed training in a metalworking trade, such as Metal Worker, Industrial Mechanic, Construction Mechanic, or Plant Mechanic, or a comparable qualification.
• Previous experience in metalwork, ideally from construction, mechanical engineering, energy, or utility sectors.
• Ideally, experience working safely with electrical installations.
• A valid driver's license (Class B) and willingness to travel to project sites using a personal vehicle.
• Readiness for regular on-site assignments from Monday to Friday across southwestern Germany, including overnight stays.
• Good German language skills and a self-motivated work ethic.
