Android Developer

Introduction

As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Android applications. You will work closely with a team of developers, designers, and product managers to create high-quality mobile applications that meet the needs of our users.

Responsibilities

• Understanding project requirements and analyzing project specifications to determine the scope and features of the Android application.
• Developing application architecture, including designing the structure and components of the Android application such as user interface, database, and backend integration.
• Bug fixing and testing to debug and resolve any issues or bugs identified during the testing phase to ensure the application functions correctly.
• Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth development and timely delivery of the application.
• Researching and learning to keep up to date with the latest Android development trends, frameworks, and technologies.

Requirements

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining Android applications.
• Proficient in developing Android applications using Android Studio and Android SDK.
• Strong knowledge of Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Solid understanding of native mobile application development life cycle.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
• Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• Advanced understanding of consuming REST APIs in Android applications.
• Experience writing Unit Tests + UI Tests to ensure quality of the application delivered.
• Experience with Android Jetpack components.
• Experience with JIRA and Confluence tool.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as GIT.
• Ability to understand and integrate third-party libraries.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
