Job Type: Contract

Pay Range: $13.75hr - $18.75hr

Job Overview:

As an Operator I, the candidate will work under direct supervision, performing routine and repetitive assembly operations and processes.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that relevant job documentation for cell operations and functions is accurate and up to date.
• Demonstrate troubleshooting skills and interpersonal skills such as conflict resolution, active participation, active listening, interpreting, cooperation, and flexibility to support a successful self-managed team.
• Clearly communicate ideas, problems, and solutions to all levels of manufacturing management in both written and oral form.
• Positively represent the organization during tours by demonstrating techniques and sharing appropriate information.
• Positively represent and support the organization s policies and procedures.
• Maintain a positive attitude when interacting with internal and external customers, including visitors during tours.
• Follow safety guidelines and utilize appropriate safety devices when performing all operations.
• Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives to enhance production processes to achieve quality and profitability metrics.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on applicable equipment to maximize efficiency, minimize accidents, and enhance the lifespan of equipment and tools.
• Maintain accurate records to ensure traveler and quality documents are accurate, all parts are traceable, and quality issues can be addressed to assure product quality.
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles.
• Participate with the Manufacturing Supervisor or Manager in setting and monitoring individual goals and cell performance metrics that continuously seek to improve operational quality.
• Support all divisional initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written procedures, as well as understand and follow verbal instructions.
• Understanding of and ability to utilize electronic data collection systems and computer software packages.
• Ability to prioritize work by determining the sequencing and timing of different jobs based on precedence and importance.
• Ability to handle and maneuver small components and parts.
• Ability to make critical decisions and judgments with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prefer 6 months of experience working in a medical or other regulated production environment.
• Previous medical device, manufacturing, or assembly experience is helpful.
• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
