Job Description

Maintenance Engineer | Chelmsford, United Kingdom | On-site

The Role

  • Support the maintenance team and contractors in their daily duties.
  • Ensure a high standard of the hospital environment for patient treatment.
  • Collaborate with various hospital staff, requiring strong interpersonal skills.
  • Participate in an on-call rota covering a nearby hospital, with occasional attendance required.
  • Apply trade skills to maintain and improve hospital facilities.

What You'll Need

  • City & Guilds Part 1/2, NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in line managing within a maintenance environment post-apprenticeship.
  • Proven experience managing and coordinating contractors and service engineers.
  • Sound fault-finding techniques and IT competency.
  • A comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety guidelines and applicable law.
  • Familiarity with Legionella prevention requirements in hospital buildings.
