Job Description

Title: DevOps Engineer Client: Executive Office of the President
Location: Washington, DC Required Qualifications
The professional services for these positions must possess the following: • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. • Experience deploying systems in Linux and/or Windows environments. • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) or on-premises virtualization (VMWare, Hyper-V). • Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing). • Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell). o Automate and streamline CI/CD pipelines using the above scripting languages.

  • In-depth understanding of containerization concepts including industry standards such as Docker, Kubernetes, OCI, and Postgres databases. • In-depth understanding of modern programming language, concepts, methods and package development/deployment. (.Net, JavaScript, Angular, Node.js and typescript, and other modern development programming tools and languages)
  • Significant experience using Artificial Intelligence (AI) coding models to facilitate software development lifecycle. Desired qualifications
  • Experience in Agile/DevOps environments. • Active industry certification, AWS DevOps, Security+ In the addition to the developer qualifications, the DevOps Engineer must possess the following:
  • Experience with CI/CD deployment for enterprise-wide application services.
  • Experience with GitLab and GitHub to integrate and connect deployment pipelines across networks. • Experience with authentication frameworks such as OIDC (open ID connect), SAML and ADFS,
  • Experience with ingress controllers and load-balancers for cluster wide routing and network policies.
  • Experiencing with the development of helm charts and hardened container images that follow OCI (Open Container Initiative) standards.
