Final Test Engineer - Late

Location: Cambourne (CB23) Duration: Ongoing Hours: 7:15am to 4pm (Monday to Friday) initially before transferring to late shift, 1:45pm - 9:30pm Salary: 20.39 per hour Job Reference: 36370 Polytec are looking for a Final Test Engineer for our client based a few miles west of Cambridge. You will test products in accordance with established procedures ensuring that agreed deadlines and manufacturing targets are met. You will train for the first 3 months on a dayshift working 7:15am to 4pm and then transfer to the late shift working 1:45pm - 9:30pm.

Responsibilities: Assembly, sub-assembly and testing Trouble-shoot malfunctions, carrying out basic modifications as required Maintenance of test equipment Participate in Lean activities as required Contribute to driving continuous improvement, identifying waste in test processes Maintain processes and procedures consistent with ISO standards.

Requirements: Experience of fault-finding on electronic or electromechanical systems Proven ability to utilise user interface software to test, calibrate and operate complex electromechanical systems Experience of assembling and / or testing precision instrumentation Working in an electromechanical test environment Understand and follow test specifications and standard operating procedures GCSE Mathematics and English Qualification in Electronics / Mechatronics (Time served apprenticeship, NVQ Level 3, Btec Level 3 or 4-year apprenticeship) Experience using MS Windows Please contact us as soon as possible for more details or apply below!
