Test Engineer with Security Clearance

Test Engineer Location: Middletown, RI Job ID: #72781 Duration: 9-12 months contract Pay Range: $80-95 Active DoD Secret clearance or higher required to start. Job Description: SW Test Engineering We are seeking Test Engineer to join our Physical Sciences and Systems business unit located a stone's throw from seaside Newport, Rhode Island. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to execution of test plans for Linux and VxWorks software development efforts, hardware and software integration efforts, and test planning and development. The ideal candidate enjoys in a multi disciplinary role and is comfortable adapting to and identifying new technologies as needed. Primary Responsibilities: Develop test plans, test procedures, and test tools for multiple programs Perform testing of both HW and SW systems, isolate failures, and propose solutions Interface with DoD clients executing formal sell off test events and integration test periods Work closely with development teams when bugs are identified to track and resolve issues Requirements tracking and verification Qualifications You Must Have: An active DoD secret clearance with BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant discipline and 5 years of experience or MS grad with degree and 3 years of experience. Test execution experience in software environments, and documentation of test results Experience with test tracking software tools. Position may require some amount of overnight travel. Active DoD Secret clearance or higher. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience and knowledge of software development in C Experience working with embedded systems Experience with Atlassian toolset (i.e. Jira and Confluence) Experience in QA or configuration management Years of Experience Required (if any): o5 8 years Education Level Required: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) How will the contractor's success be measured? Completes integration and sell off testing events with knowledge sufficient for success Develops complete and successful test plans and test procedures Develops tools usable by self and others to support smoke testing, integration testing, and harnessing of SW and HW components. Completes support of HW/SW system acceptance testing and reporting with deliverables accepted by customer. Culture Collaborative on site team environment.
