As a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), the team operates under a strict fiduciary standard, prioritizing client interests in every recommendation. Stenger Family Office has extensive experience advising Fortune 500 employees and their families before and during retirement.
Clients benefit from a one-stop shop model, including in-house CPAs and estate planning attorneys who support integrated wealth and tax strategies.\n \n Role Description The Tax Manager is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing tax planning, compliance, and preparation for high-net-worth individuals and families. This role manages the end-to-end tax process, including reviewing complex returns, coordinating with in-house CPAs and advisors, and ensuring adherence to current tax laws and regulations.
The Tax Manager will analyze client-specific situations, recommend tax-efficient strategies, and collaborate with wealth management and estate planning teams to provide integrated advice. Day-to-day tasks include supervising tax workflows, maintaining accurate documentation, responding to client inquiries, and supporting internal projects to enhance tax-related processes and tools.
The role requires strong judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly to clients and colleagues.\n \n Qualifications\n \n Demonstrated expertise in tax planning and tax strategy development for individuals and families.\n Strong background in tax compliance and tax preparation, including review of complex individual returns.\n Solid understanding of tax law and regulatory requirements relevant to wealth management and retirement planning.\n Broad knowledge of federal and state tax issues, including investment, retirement, and estate-related tax considerations.\n Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential preferred; advanced tax or accounting degree is a plus.\n Experience working with high-net-worth clients and coordinating with financial advisors and estate planning professionals.\n Proficiency with tax preparation software and basic office productivity tools; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n Clear written and verbal communication skills, ability to work independently in a remote environment, and strong organizational abilities.\n
