Job DescriptionTax Director – New York\n$190,000–$230,000 + Bonus | Hybrid | Clear Route to Partner\n\nAn established New York CPA firm is looking to appoint an experienced Tax Director to join its growing tax practice.\n\nThis is a senior leadership opportunity for someone who wants significant client responsibility, involvement in developing the wider tax team and a genuine opportunity to progress towards Partner.\n\nThe Role\n\n Manage and develop a portfolio of high-value tax clients\n Review complex federal, state and multi-state tax returns\n Lead tax planning and advisory projects\n Act as a senior point of contact for key clients\n Review work prepared by Managers, Seniors and Associates\n Mentor and develop members of the tax team\n Support Partners with complex technical matters and client strategy\n Assist with business development and the continued growth of the tax practice\n Build long-term relationships with both existing and new clients\n\n\nWhat They’re Looking For\n\n Strong background within public accounting / CPA firms\n Significant tax compliance, review and advisory experience\n Previous experience at Senior Manager or Director level\n Strong client management skills\n Experience managing and developing tax professionals\n Comfortable handling complex tax matters independently\n CPA strongly preferred\n Excellent communication and relationship-building skills\n\n\nWhat’s On Offer\n\n $190,000–$230,000 base salary\n Performance-related bonus\n Hybrid working\n High level of client exposure and autonomy\n Strong established client base\n Opportunity to influence the future direction of the tax practice\n Clear progression towards Partner\n\n\nInterested?\nIf you are an experienced Tax Senior Manager or Tax Director in New York and would like to discuss the opportunity confidentially, get in touch.
