Position Overview

We are seeking an ERP Manufacturing and Supply Chain Operations Specialist with hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar ERP platform. The role focuses on item master management, part setup and release, manufacturing bills of materials (mBOMs), revision control, and production readiness. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes, PLM-to-ERP data alignment, and controlled master data management, preferably within regulated manufacturing or the medical device industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain item masters, part records, product structures, manufacturing BOMs, and BOM versions in Microsoft Dynamics 365 or a similar ERP platform.

  • Set up and release new parts with appropriate planning, inventory, procurement, and manufacturing attributes.

  • Process approved part revisions and maintain component quantities, effectivity dates, alternate components, and site-specific data.

  • Align engineering BOMs (eBOMs) with manufacturing BOMs (mBOMs) and validate consistency across PLM systems, engineering documentation, and ERP records.

  • Maintain or support manufacturing routings, operations, work centers, production parameters, MRP settings, lead times, safety stock, and make-or-buy parameters.

  • Review released engineering drawings, specifications, and engineering change orders before creating or updating ERP records.

  • Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality, Finance, and IT to resolve missing, inconsistent, or conflicting master data.

  • Perform data validation, reconciliation, ERP transaction testing, production-order dry runs, and manufacturing-readiness checks.

  • Investigate and resolve BOM, part, revision, planning, inventory, and manufacturing transaction discrepancies.

  • Maintain setup evidence, approval records, issue trackers, and status documentation while escalating risks that could affect production or supply readiness.

Required Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of relevant experience in ERP, manufacturing operations, or supply chain management.

  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management, Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, or a comparable ERP platform.

  • Experience creating and maintaining item masters, part records, released products, BOMs, BOM versions, and manufacturing master data.

  • Knowledge of new-part setup, part release, revision management, lifecycle status changes, and site-specific ERP configurations.

  • Working knowledge of eBOM-to-mBOM alignment, product structures, routings, operations, work centers, and production orders.

  • Understanding of purchasing, procurement, inventory, warehouse transactions, material requirements planning (MRP), and production planning.

  • Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and engineering change orders and translating them into accurate ERP master data.

  • Experience validating and reconciling data between PLM systems, engineering documentation, and ERP platforms.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data validation, reconciliation, bulk-upload preparation, and issue tracking.

  • Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, traceability, documentation, and controlled change execution.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, quality, finance, and IT teams.

  • Willingness to work onsite in Santa Clara, California.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in medical device, life sciences, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Familiarity with medical device quality and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards (JDE), or NetSuite.

  • Experience supporting ERP data migration, system integration, production-order testing, and manufacturing-readiness reviews.
