Business Analyst – AI-Enabled Requirements Engineering

We are seeking an AI-enabled Business Analyst to partner with product teams, engineering, quality assurance, clients, and other stakeholders to analyze, document, and validate functional and technical requirements for new and existing software. This individual will independently translate high-level business needs into detailed use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria, functional specifications, process flows, data requirements, and integration scenarios that provide developers and testers with clear, actionable direction. The analyst will also support production issue analysis by reviewing system behavior, workflows, data, SQL, APIs, logs, and integration mappings before engaging developers for deeper technical investigation.

The Business Analyst will use AI tools to accelerate the creation and review of requirements, identify gaps, conflicts, dependencies, duplicates, and missing edge cases, and propose clarifying questions. Responsibilities will include cross-model validation of AI-generated specifications, translation of business requirements into technical specifications, pseudocode, API payload examples, and data mappings, as well as AI-assisted validation of SQL queries, API structures, and integrations. The analyst will facilitate stakeholder discussions, coordinate across scrum teams, document meeting outcomes, prepare status reports and presentations, support backlog refinement and testing activities, and create user guides, help documentation, and other delivery materials while ensuring all AI-generated content is independently reviewed for accuracy, security, privacy, and alignment with business intent.

Required Skills:

• Experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Analyst, or similar role in an Agile software development environment.
• Demonstrated ability to write detailed user stories, use cases, functional specifications, and comprehensive acceptance criteria.
• Ability to independently analyze requirements, workflows, system behavior, integrations, and initial production issues.
• Working knowledge of APIs, JSON/XML, SQL, data mappings, integrations, and software development life cycles and ability to write API technical user stories
• Experience identifying requirements gaps, conflicts, dependencies, assumptions, duplicates, and edge cases.
• Practical experience using generative AI tools for requirements analysis, documentation, validation, or software delivery.
• Ability to perform cross-model validation and critically evaluate AI-generated requirements and specifications.
• Strong facilitation, communication, documentation, organization, and presentation skills.
• Experience collaborating with product managers, developers, testers, clients, and cross-functional teams.
• Ability to distinguish confirmed facts, assumptions, hypotheses, and items requiring further technical investigation.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar requirements and documentation tools.
• Experience validating REST APIs using Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI, or equivalent tools.
• Experience writing, reviewing, or validating SQL queries.
• Experience with system integrations, data migration, microservices, event-driven architectures, or legacy modernization.
• Experience with test case design, automated testing, or behavior-driven development.

• Experience creating reusable AI prompts, workflows, or quality gates.
• Familiarity with multiple AI models and techniques for comparing model-generated outputs.
• Experience using AI to map legacy system behavior to modern design patterns, APIs, or service boundaries.
• Experience facilitating backlog refinement, sprint planning, demonstrations, and stakeholder workshops.
• Business analysis, product management, Agile, or related professional certification.
