Role Overview

We are seeking a Test Lead to drive end-to-end Quality Engineering for E-commerce and Digital platforms. This role will lead QA strategy, execution, and governance across web, mobile, and backend services, operating in a distributed onsite–offshore model. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, hands-on automation experience, and the ability to align QE outcomes with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead QE efforts across E-commerce (web/mobile) and digital platforms, ensuring high-quality releases
• Own test strategy, planning, execution, and reporting across multiple PODs/scrum teams
• Drive onsite–offshore coordination, ensuring seamless communication, prioritization, and delivery
• Establish and enforce automation-first approach (UI, API, and regression suites)
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Business teams for requirement clarity and test coverage
• Define and track QE metrics (defect leakage, automation coverage, cycle time, release quality)
• Ensure CI/CD integration of test suites and quality gates
• aad defect triage, RCA, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Support UAT, production validation, and release sign-offs
• Mentor and guide QA team members across onsite and offshore locations

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years in Quality Engineering with 2+ years in Test Lead role
• Strong experience in E-commerce/Digital platforms (high traffic, customer-facing systems)
• Experience of AI-driven QE or test optimization approaches
• Hands on AI usage (Claude, similar) in Authoring test cases and building automated test scripts.
• Hands-on experience in test automation (Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
• Strong understanding of API testing (Postman, RestAssured, etc.)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Proven experience managing onsite–offshore delivery models
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of test management tools (TestRail, Jira, etc.)
• Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills
• Experience in retail domain (beauty/fashion/e-commerce)

Good to Have

• Exposure to performance testing and observability tool
• Experience with service virtualization and contract testing
