Mechanical Maintenance Engineer<br />Location: Selby, North Yorkshire<br />Salary: £40000 to £43000 plus on call allowance and Benefits<br />Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 We’re working with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their site maintenance team.

This is a hands-on role focused on keeping plant and equipment running efficiently, while supporting both ongoing operations and future improvement projects.

The Role Carry out planned, predictive and reactive mechanical maintenance<br />Respond to breakdowns, fault find and implement effective repairs<br />Complete preventative maintenance, inspections and greasing schedules<br />Repair and rebuild equipment including pumps, centrifuges, conveyors, gearboxes and associated components<br />Support improvements to manufacturing processes and site infrastructure<br />Work alongside contractors and specialist service providers where required<br />Contribute to the development and use of a CMMS for maintenance tracking<br />Work towards a proactive, zero-breakdown maintenance approach<br />Maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance at all times What We’re Looking For Apprentice trained or qualified in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience)<br />Proven experience in a similar maintenance role within an industrial/manufacturing environment<br />Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability<br />Experience with fabrication and welding (TIG, MIG, MMA) is beneficial<br />Able to work independently and manage workload effectively<br />Comfortable working across production areas, workshops and outdoor environments<br />Good communication skills and ability to work across teams What’s On Offer Competitive salary<br />Company pension<br />Life insurance<br />25 days holiday plus bank holidays<br />Private medical insurance<br />Length of service bonus
