Ex-NTP Teacher | Alnwick, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £28 - £35 per hour
We are hiring for an impact-driven organization dedicated to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The Role
- Provide in-person, online, or hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to young people with SEND and SEMH needs.
- Support pupils from KS1 to KS5, planning and delivering flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
- Work with local authorities and schools to help disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners achieve their potential.
- Plan and report for lessons, providing regular feedback on student progress.
- Contribute to raising the standard of education for young people with diverse additional educational needs.
What You'll Need
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS / QTLS).
- 2+ years of teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma-informed way.
- Familiarity with teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
- An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
- Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment.
- The right to work in the UK.
