Automation & OT Systems Software Engineer

FM is seeking an Automation, Operational Technology & Digital Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and support the platforms that power our workplace and facilities management software. You will architect and maintain OT, automation, and data pipelines connecting building systems, IoT devices, and enterprise applications to FM solutions. Partner closely with product, customer success, and implementation teams to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable integrations for global clients. You'll troubleshoot complex environments, automate workflows, enhance monitoring, and contribute to standards that drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation, OT, and digital system architectures supporting FM workplace and facilities solutions
• Integrate building systems, Io
• T devices, and enterprise applications with FM platforms via APIs, gateways, and middleware
• Develop and maintain secure OT networks, data pipelines, and monitoring/alerting for high availability
• Troubleshoot complex production issues across OT, cloud, and application layers to restore service quickly
• Collaborate with product, customer success, and implementation teams on solution design and client projects
• Automate deployment, configuration, and testing workflows to improve reliability and reduce manual effort
• Implement OT/ICS cybersecurity best practices and compliance controls for client environments
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and standards for integrations and operational processes
• Analyze performance and utilization data to optimize systems and guide capacity planning
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, piloting new tools and technologies for digital workplaces
