Job Description

Credit Officer (M/F)

For one of our banking client, we are currently looking for a Credit Officer (M/F) in the framework of a temporary contract until the end of December with possibility of extension.

Tasks:

  • Support the Credit team in reviewing and deciding on customer credit requests, ensuring full compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.
  • Gather and review corporate information and financial transactions; analyze company financials and build internal financial models.
  • Prepare and assess financial projections, including cash-flow, profitability and vulnerability analysis (ratio analysis and/or stress testing).
  • Analyze the client's industry and business environment, key risk drivers and competitive positioning.
  • Assess management quality, experience and track record, as well as the overall corporate governance framework.
  • Review the client's strategy and identify execution risks.
  • Evaluate funding strategy, financial policy, treasury activities (hedging, cash management) and liquidity profile.
  • Consider additional risk factors such as country risk, parent and/or government support, and debt structure/seniority.
  • Contribute to improving credit standards: best practices, guidelines and procedures.
  • Draft credit applications/memos for submission to the relevant credit committees/decision bodies.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders involved in the credit process.

Profile :

  • Master's degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • 3-4 years' experience in a similar role in the banking industry.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken). Italian is a plus.
  • Very good MS Office skills, especially advanced Excel.
  • Strong skills in financial analysis, risk assessment and financial modelling.
  • Solid ability to read and interpret financial statements.
  • Good understanding of international business and financial products; sound finance/accounting knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative mindset.
  • Able to manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team; strong prioritisation and organisational skills.
