Cable Harness Design Engineer with Security Clearance

Insight Global is hiring multiple Senior Cable Harness Design Engineer to support the development of complex electrical interconnected systems for advanced aerospace, defense, and mission-critical platforms. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience designing cable assemblies, wire harnesses, and electrical interconnect systems that meet stringent performance, reliability, and military standards requirements.

This engineer will partner closely with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, systems, integration, and test teams throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept development through production and field deployment. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed harness designs, developing manufacturing documentation, managing configuration changes, and ensuring compliance with applicable industry and military standards.

Required Skills

• Active Secret or Top Secret Clearance
• Bachelors and 8 years of experience, No degree and 12 years of experience in designing cable harnesses and wiring assemblies for the defense and/or aerospace industries.
• Experience supporting products through the full engineering lifecycle, including design, integration, manufacturing, testing, and sustainment
• Strong background in Zuken E3.series, Siemens Capital, CATIA Electrical, Creo Cabling, etc.
• Experience developing wiring diagrams, cable routing drawings, harness drawings, etc.

Insight Global is hiring multiple candidates for this role so exact pay will vary based on candidates level of experience, depth of knowledge, clearance level, etc. However, we anticipate paying 120K - 150K for these roles as well as providing a comprehensive 401K benefits package.
